Zune is not dead, it’s an iTunes killer

Microsoft has finally killed off the Zune players because of its demand and instead will shift its focus to other devices and software. Zune is a Microsoft’s answer to Apple iPod which was introduced in 2006 and never managed to break the iPod’s grip on the music player industry. According to Bloomberg’s report yesterday, a “person familiar with the decision” has confirmed that Microsoft won’t be producing any new Zune media players, and that the company will instead focus solely on the Zune software that already has a foothold on the Xbox 360 and Windows Phone devices....

Bad News About iPhone 4 Unlock

If you are one of those unlockers patiently waiting for an unlock for iPhone 4 other than baseband 01.59.00, here is some bad news for you. According to the recent tweet from iPhone Dev Team (team behind the unlocking and jail breaking procedures) member MuscleNerd, it is taking longer than expected to get the unlock figured out. Sorry, there’s no news on the i4 unlock for those who lost 01.59 (or never had it)....

Adobe Releases Flash to HTML5 Converter – Wallaby

To compete the HTML5 competence, Adobe released a new experimental Flash to HTML5 conversion tool (codenamed Wallaby)yesterday night. “Wallaby” is the codename for an experimental technology that converts the artwork and animation contained in Adobe® Flash® Professional (FLA) files into HTML. Its just a matter of dragging and dropping thing to convert flash files into HTML5. The company is specifically hoping this tool will make it easier for designers and developers to get their content onto iOS devices like the iPhone and iPad....

Google Removed 21 Malware Apps. Remotely Removing from Affected Android Devices

Last week, the Android team was made aware of a number of malicious applications published to Android Market. Within minutes of becoming aware, they removed the malicious applications. According to the company, the apps are malware aimed at getting root access to the user’s device, gathering a wide range of available data, and downloading more code to it without the user’s knowledge. The following 21 malware apps have already been downloaded by at least 50, 000 Android users....

iPhone 5 to Ditch iPhone 4’s Glass Back Design?

A new rumour floating on Cupertino’s (read Apple) world. Apple will abandon the glass back design it introduced with the iPhone 4, and replace it with a new aluminium back, similar to the very first iPhone, with its next model. According to Taiwan’s Economics Daily News’ report (via Apple Insider) , the issues with scratches and paint mixture for the white iPhone 4 have allegedly prompted Apple to switch to aluminium which may resemble the design similar to the iPod touch....

Android Market Coming to Google TV

Facebook Rolled Out New Commenting System

Today, Facebook rolled out a new commenting system for blogs and third-party sites. It launched updates to the Comments Box Plugin with new moderation tools as well as features to improve the distribution and quality of comments on your site. According to a Facebook blog post, the new commenting system will be a quick install for publishers, with a single line of code. Sharing comments on Facebook will, of course, be seamless....
