Apple may unveil the 11.6 inch MacBook Air on 20th October

According to AppleInsider and its multiple sources, the Cupertinos are planning on unveiling the 11.6 inch MacBook Air at their ‘Back to the Mac’ event which kicks of this Wednesday. There aren’t many more details available yet, but one source mentioned that Apple is forgoing the option of a traditional hard-disk drive or solid state (SSD) drive. Instead, the company may offer something that’s called an “SSD Card” that “lacks a traditional drive enclosure and more closely resembles a stick of RAM”, AppleInsider writes. The site believes that the component may be an Apple-specific SSD drive built to integrate with Macs similar to how flash memory is used in iPhones, iPods, and iPads. ...

Microsoft has announced that Bing will partner with Facebook to deliver personalized search results based on your social network. Bing will enable a great search experience for people queries, by bringing in information from your Facebook friends and people who share networks with you, and will show you what your friends have liked as you navigate through search results in Bing. Google Cars don’t need a driver

Google is road-testing cars that steer, stop and start without a human driver! The cars have travelled a total of 225,300km on major California roads without much human intervention, according to a posting on Saturday on Google’s corporate blog. The goal is to “help prevent traffic accidents, free up people’s time and reduce carbon emissions,” project leader Sebastian Thrun wrote in the blog post.
