Along with the news about Windows 8 Release Preview download availability earlier today, Microsoft also confirmed the price details for Windows 8 upgrade. It costs only $14.99 for Windows 8 Pro edition upgrade, but only if you buy a new Windows 7 PC between this Saturday, June 2, 2012 and Jan 31, 2013. Microsoft will offer the deal to computer buyers in 131 markets, including the U.S. and Canada. In the Windows Experience blog post, Microsoft said that more details on the upgrade plan would be announced tomorrow, and that further upgrade options will be revealed for current Windows 7 computer owners in the coming months....
Windows 8 Release Preview which was originally planned for the first week of June is now available for download. This is not the final version and I would recommend only tech enthusiasts to try out on their personal computers. Release Preview is the third release as part of testing process for Windows 8. The first version which was released back in September last year was called as Developer Preview and the second version was branded as Consumer Preview which was released in late February, 2012....

The long awaited video calling app, Skype for Windows Phone is now available on the Marketplace as version 1.0. This official app was first released two months ago in February as a Beta version. The app now graduates to v 1.0. There is no real good working video calling app for Windows Phone users till now apart from Tango. Now that, Microsoft bought Skype last year, the app seems to be a late runner in the Marketplace world....
