Google Acquires Motorola Mobility To Protect Android

Google’s CEO Larry Page in an official blog post just made an announcement that it plans to buy Motorola Mobility for $12.5 billion. The whole acquisition process is expected to finish by early 2012. Well, what does this acquisition mean? Is this to protect the whole Android ecosystem? Google just acquired 17,000 patents specifically related to mobile. And we can expect the whole patent lawsuit issues to end in the near future....

Google Says Apple and Microsoft Illegally Killing Android
