Google Removed 21 Malware Apps. Remotely Removing from Affected Android Devices

Last week, the Android team was made aware of a number of malicious applications published to Android Market. Within minutes of becoming aware, they removed the malicious applications. According to the company, the apps are malware aimed at getting root access to the user’s device, gathering a wide range of available data, and downloading more code to it without the user’s knowledge. The following 21 malware apps have already been downloaded by at least 50, 000 Android users....

Google: Microsoft Is Cheating and Copying Our Search Results

Google set up a sting operation (!) in an attempt to catch Microsoft red-handed stealing their search results in Bing. Interestingly, Bing doesn’t deny this completely. The whole sting operation is amazing and it started from Danny Sullivan’s post and resulting Microsoft’s response on Bing search quality. uld ever enter into Google. These searches returned no matches on Google or Bing — or a tiny number of poor quality matches, in a few cases — before the experiment went live....

Happy 25th Birthday Windows!

Microsoft Windows completes 25 years today. On November 20, 1985, the first version Windows 1.0 was released. Can you recall how Windows 1.0 looked like? To be frank, I was born in the same year and no real hands-on experience for me until Windows 95! . Oh, and of course Windows 8. I hardly know much about it at the moment except the leaked slides. Let’s hope it is as well received as Windows 7 has been so far....
