Apple announces the new MacBook Air

And one more thing… Steve Jobs used his classic line yesterday to announce the new MacBook Air, a refresh of their ultrathin computer with the addition of an 11.6-inch smaller edition at Apple’s Cupertino headquarters in a press event. The updated design is the first major refresh in the MacBook Air’s two and half year life. The casing is now .68 at it’s thickest part and .11 at the very end....

FaceTime now on Mac

Apple may unveil the 11.6 inch MacBook Air on 20th October

According to AppleInsider and its multiple sources, the Cupertinos are planning on unveiling the 11.6 inch MacBook Air at their ‘Back to the Mac’ event which kicks of this Wednesday. There aren’t many more details available yet, but one source mentioned that Apple is forgoing the option of a traditional hard-disk drive or solid state (SSD) drive. Instead, the company may offer something that’s called an “SSD Card” that “lacks a traditional drive enclosure and more closely resembles a stick of RAM”, AppleInsider writes....

3D Movies Are Coming Soon to iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch and Android

Here’s something you probably didn’t know your iPhone could do: display movies in 3D. Actually, it can’t quite yet. But a company called Spatial View is launching an online 3D movie store, 3DeeCentral, and it has submitted an app that grants access to it for review by Apple. It’s not going to be native three-dimensional video but still offers similar results and the cool thing is you won’t have to wear those hideous polarized glasses!...
