TechCrunch’s sources say this may just be the first stage of a larger strategy. The Microsoft ROM could potentially be used to flash any Android device with a version of Windows 10.
The result could be something like Cyanogen, which is available to pretty much anyone with an Android device and some spare time. Don’t forget, Microsoft is reportedly set to make a big investment in the company behind Cyanogen. Maybe part of that deal includes help developing this new ROM.
