The Internet web service provider Register.com suffers a massive outage yesterday and many users relying on it for Email, DNS redirections are still experiencing problems.
According to the update on their homepage, they were hit by a distributed denial of service (DDOS) attack.
On Friday, November 12th we were hit by a distributed denial of service attack (ddos). We are actively working to mitigate the attack and restore services as soon as possible. Every available resource has been deployed to address this malicious attack. If you are having trouble accessing your webmail, please contact customer service at 1888.734.4783. We will update you as soon as we have more information.
Initial predictions assume at least 2% of Internet domains are compromised and down. They are still experiencing DDOS attacks and there is no ETA on the fix. Its been almost 24 hours DNS problems continue at register.com, the second attack in 18 months.

Update on November 14, 2010: All services seems to be back up and running after more than 36 hours. There is still no proper final announcement on the register.com homepage.
