Google India has announced Google Maps with Street View for India which lets you explore places around the world through 360 degree street level imagery.
This long awaited project which is already live in 27 countries is coming to Bangalore (Bengaluru) from tomorrow 27th May 2011.
According to @googleindia twitter account, Google will start gathering images from select locations in the areas such as the Nityagram Dance Village over the next few weeks in Bangalore.
Google uses cars, trikes, snowmobile and more equipment to capture these interesting places and then turn photos into Street View. To learn more about this amazing 360 degree panorama project, visit http://maps.google.com/help/maps/streetview/technology/photos-into-street-view.html
And concerning privacy issues, Google apply cutting-edge and license plate burring technology to help ensure that passers-by and cars in the photographs can’t be identified.
