‘The Social Network’ Won 3 Oscars Out of 8

The Social Network won only 3 Oscars out of eight awards it had been nominated for.

Aaron Sorkin won best adapted screenplay, Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross won best soundtrack and Angus Wall and Kirk Baxter won best film editing.

The Social Network didn’t score on its nominations for direction, actor, supporting actor, sound editing nor best picture.

The Social Network is a movie about the founder of the most popular social network website ‘Facebook’. This movie with tag line “You don’t get to 500 million friends without making a few enemies” is directed by David Fincher and written by Aaron Sorkin.

Jesse Eisenberg played the role of Mark Zuckerberg, the talented CEO of Facebook. The movie was adapted from Ben Mezrich’s 2009 book The Accidental Billionaires: The Founding of Facebook: A Tale of Sex, Money, Genius and Betrayal, the film focuses on the early years of Facebook, founded in 2004.
